Recently, we have received several inquiry emails regarding the retainer rings for high performance valves and butterfly valves produced by centrifugal casting technique. We were very glad that the valve manufacturers contacted us directly and discussed their requirements of customized retainer rings with us. 

In the past, most our stainless steel and special alloy retainer rings produced by centrifugal casting were supplied to our local machining shops and they did the final machining on the retainer rings.  Then, they exported the finish machined retainer rings to the customers in Norway and Denmark for marine applications. 

Now more and more customers prefer discussing their latest designs of retainer rings with us.   The prices of the retainer rings would be better if we supply the blank retainer rings for them directly.

Our retainer rings for valves are manufactured by centrifugal casting technique. 

Centrifugal casting technique is very suitable for producing rings with different dimensions for customized projects.  Most valve manufacturers have the demands of retainer rings with different dimensions in lower quantity of each one at the same time.  Therefore, centrifugal casting is the only way to solve this problem of lower quantity order of each dimension.  

For us, the outer diameters of 100~400 mm are what we produce often. 

The materials of retainer rings we manufacture for valves 

CF3M(SS 316L) , CF8(SS 304) , CF3M(Min. 2.75% Mo) and modified CF3M are the materials of the retainers rings  we produce for high performance valves and butterfly valves in a very high frequency.  Modified CF3M is the unique specification customer provided to us.  The special proportions will make the valves more corrosion resistant, therefore customers asked us to produce the unique retainer rings based on their specifications. 

In addition to common stainless steel, the demands of retainer rings produced by special alloys gets higher for example duplex 2205.

The retainer rings for valves we supply are rough machined 

We will rough machine the retainer rings and leave the suitable allowances for customers to do the finish machining. 

It is also acceptable that we supply the finish machined retainer rings.  We will cooperate the outsourcing machining shops to complete the projects. 

If customers have the machine tools, we suggest purchase our rough machined retainer rings back strongly.

If the valves use in corrosion environment, our retainer rings produced by centrifugal casting will fit well. 

Our retainers rings for valves applied in marine, water treatment, oil & gas …etc.  If customers have other applications that are in the harsh environment, the centrifugally cast retainer rings will be the candidates.
